Operation Blackbird is deservedly renowned as one of the most genuinely iconic events in crop circle history. It enthralled the British public, massively dented the reputation of cerealogist Colin Andrews and, to this day, nobody believable has come forward to claim responsibility for one of the biggest yarns in the cerealogical record books.

Nobody will look back on the 2024 season with enthusiasm. It reflected our own view from 2023 that we should abandon our expectations of the circles.
We recently read a very considered piece on the wonderful Circular State of Mind website. Titled ‘Crop Circles 2023: End of the Season’, it’s a brief contemplation on the current state of play in the fields and we’d like to add our own thoughts on the matters it raises.
Another five-fold formation, following on from the recent circle at Alton Priors. This one is in a different league in terms of the beauty of its construction, though it hasn’t gone unnoticed that it bears striking similarities to a small circle that appeared at Silbury Hill in June 2012.
