Croppie Gossip: Dan Davies – “Farmers are C****”

The rats in the sewer that is Team Ten Watt are always looking to outdo each other in terms of producing jaw dropping moments.

We were tickled in June of this year when team groupie Hamish Jacobs produced an extraordinary rant defending farmers who choose to cut our crop circles. Yet, where was Haymush when his bud Deiniol ‘Dan’ Davies, under his Trampsy, sorry, Cropsy, alter-ego, decided to state ‘all farmer are cunts’ on a post making light of circle makers’ activities?

If anyone needs reminding, this is the same Deiniol Davies who has been happy to accept the hospitality of those farmers he has worked on for commissioned pieces of work.

Oh, but he’s the ‘outlaw artist’, which means he’s such a rebel on his trike with a bad denim jacket on. He’s the same fool who posted a meme suggesting the late cerealogist Michael Glickman should ‘rest in piss’. This is the sort of stuff he comes out with (probably to impress his friends and prove what a little kid he is, trapped inside a man’s body). Nice one, Davies. It’s always good to leave such stupid comments when you openly admit to making specific circles in a group that is routinely watched by the agricultural community. Idiot.

So, where’s Hamish to stick up for farmers on this occasion? Where’s he to spout, ‘What a truly ignorant, malicious, spiteful thing to say … All power, and so much gratitude, to the farmers who spend their LIVES providing for us all – as opposed to one night of making a nice pattern in what is ALREADY an artwork which has taken months to prepare – that very field, and the food YOU eat.’

Where was he? Nowhere to be seen. Funny that, because for all of his bluster, Hamish doesn’t have the balls to stand up for what he believes. Well, probably because he doesn’t believe in anything except that which he feels makes him relevant. The hypocrisy in his own camp can be conveniently ignored.

The silence tells us all we need to know.
