There have been a lot of tears shed over the recent crop circle at Weir Farm, underneath Hackpen Hill. It was ‘fantastic … thoroughly beautiful’ until it was revealed it had been commissioned for a television show featuring celebrity Bradley Walsh, due to be broadcast by Sky History at the end of the year. Then, the circle became a ‘dismal mess’.

This slightly trippy crop circle has been reported from Etchilhampton, near Devizes in Wiltshire. The field holding the formation has been something of a circles hotspot through recent years, and the circle sits on the above the slope at the western end.

Two crop circles have appeared alongside Alfred’s Castle, an ancient iron age fort, near Bishopstone in Oxfordshire. One is a succession of concentric rings around a central circle, whilst the other has echoes of the Great Shelford ‘angel’, albeit in a more stripped down, pictogram style.
