An Unrecorded Crop Circle?

We love a bit of crop circle nostalgia and were intrigued to read a post on the Charles Fort Institute‘s forum by contributor Crissdee. It outlined his discovery of a wonderful quintuplet in the early 1990s, in Buckinghamshire:

I found a crop circle/pattern once, west of London somewhere, possibly just outside Beaconsfield. I wrote to [Fortean Times magazine] about it, but they never featured it, and I have never seen it in any article or book. One big circle in the middle, with four smaller circles around it, connected to the main circle by pathways…

When I went into the pattern, I seem to recall that the crops were flattened in “layers”, almost interwoven. A compass I had with me did not seem to settle when I tried to establish its alignment. This would have been in the early 90s, so my memory is a bit vague.

We love Crissdee’s photographs (shown here with his authorisation) and their grainy nostalgia.

We’ve had a look through the online archives we are aware of and cannot find any reference to this old crop circle. If anyone can prove us wrong, we would love to hear from them.
