Wiccan symbolism isn’t really our thing as we see it as a bit too recognisable within crop circles. We much prefer ambiguity. Nonetheless, we like the construction and tidiness of this new, unauthored crop circle close to the Wiltshire-Dorset border.

Interestingly, this circle is just a short distance from the wretched hoax that appeared at Elliott’s Shed, though the two are in entirely different leagues. It’s also one of two unauthored circles that has appeared just outside of Dorset’s county boundaries. Coincidence? Maybe.

The timing of this one’s appearance is also interesting, given that just a short time before, Dorset Police were appealing for information on the hoaxed, rather large and wonky spider that defaced a field close to Cerne Abbas. You would have thought, given all of the fuss, that the circle making force would have held off for a while. 

All of this reminds us of the good old days when the circle making force was as much of a trickster as it was an artist.
