Croppie Gossip: No Billy, They’re Not The Same Thing

Whilst the harvest comes to its conclusion, Team Ten Watt associate Mark ‘Billy’ Breen has left a rather somewhat puzzling post on the Facebook sewer — one almost as head scratching as the recent time he started going on about former circle maker Terry Roderick, despite the pair having never crossed paths or even been around the circles at the same time:

In a static video accomapnied by an extremely creepy, whispered AI voice over, Breen shows ‘the first two crop circles of 2025. Top one Wimborne at sunset. The bottom one Sutton Veny at sunrise. [Sutton Veny] has a beautiful inner symbol, the other plain. Otherwise the same thing. Top one in rapeseed, the bottom in barley’.

The caption underneath reads:

I’m just wondering how many agree with me here. The video content is of the first two formations of 2025. I’m suggesting they are the same. Yes in different types of crops and yes one has an elaborate symbol as its central design. Otherwise the same thing.

Do you agree with me in that they are both manmade by different teams of talented circle makers?

No, Mark, these crop circles aren’t the same. The only similarity is that they are both built around the same basic skeleton – two rings – that many crop circles are.

One, the Wimborne ‘bullseye’ is two circles and such things are usually left behind in the field when something has gone wrong or the makers have been disturbed. There’s no talent involved in this. The ‘knot’ at Sutton Veny may not be to our liking, but it would have required a lot of thought to get it down in the field. To use a not unreasonable analogy, Wimborne is an ice-cream cone. Sutton Veny is the cone with ice cream (fawns will suggest sauce, fudge and flake added too). They are very different.

Two, the circle at Wimborne was accompanied by a video of you and two circle makers at the edge of the field just after the ‘bullseye’ was completed. The identity of the makers was extremely clear, thereby rendering it a hoax. The Sutton Veny circle appeared without any fanfare. It is a real crop circle.

Three, we don’t think you have any idea at all who was responsible for Sutton Veny. It’s laughable that you’re trying to big up your hoaxer friends and make out they’re on the same level. They simply aren’t. It’s like comparing a top level footballer with one who plays in the parks on a Sunday morning.

Really, Mark. Stick to mumbling on about saying nothing if you have nothing nice to say. It’s very noble that you’re trying to do your friends a favour since they disappeared after the Cerne Abbas hoax, but this isn’t the way. It’s simply embarrassing.
