The third unauthored (at least so far!) crop circle of the season has arrived in Wiltshire. It’s an old school quintuplet that can be viewed in an equally old school way: from the top of Hackpen Hill.

This one is highly visible as you drive alongside it, or when you come down the hill on a tight left-turn. Such a shame we could only make it there after the recent heatwave came to an abrupt end with grey skies and rain. Nonetheless, it was lovely to see croppies going inside the circle to experience it at ground level, though we understand that the farmer does not want further visitors inside his field. We wouldn’t be surprised to see this one get cut out, particularly as the crop is near enough harvestable. Hey, anyone else remember when the barley used to come in at the very end of June?
