Hine’s Circle Making Workshops

The Croppie was sent this screenshot on 29 January 2025, though we understand the post has now been deleted:
At least Robert Matge seems excited by the idea. However, is talk of ‘circle making workshops’ led by Dene Hine genuine or just another piece of harebrained vaporware shared from a screen in Somerset?
Given that Hine has never — at least from what he has revealed in his online ‘portfolio’ — demonstrated any ability to ‘weave the crop’, we think offering this specific service would be somewhat disingenuous.
Furthermore, we hope there’s no mention of the means by which a circle can be divided up into equally sized segments, otherwise customers might end up making replicas of this commissioned piece:
Whilst we sincerely suspect Dene’s post is probably nothing more than whimsy, the idea could be a bit of a money spinner for anyone who would like to offer it legally using people who actually know what they’re doing.
In fact … throw in those crop circle tours (including special outings at quadruple cost for people with serious illnesses), plus some YouTube videos and photos of the latest formations and our own commercial arm someone could be raking in a small fortune this year. They might even make it onto the top of the crop circle rich list ahead of the big hitters like Lucy Pringle and Nick Bull! They’ll be piling up the pounds at HSBC whilst piling on the pounds at Raymond Blanc every night.
We really can’t wait to see what’s going to happen with this one. Please don’t let us down!
