Up on the hill above the hamlet of Wexcombe is a curious red brick structure that looks an awful lot like a pepperpot.

As the pump house of the adjacent reservoir, the odd structure has probably witnessed a lot of things through the years. Few can be odder than the crop circle that appeared in the field next door: an inner circle surrounded by two rings, with a series of radial strokes between the outer hoops.

There has been plenty of guesswork as to the origins of this crop circle and it has been suggested it received a second stage. Piano teeth … or what?
