Location: Tawsmead Copse, near West Stowell, Wiltshire

Very few circles are found in the large grain fields alongside Alton Road to the east of Alton Priors. East Field is synonymous with cerealogical legend but the likes of Golden Ball Hill, Woodborough Hill and South Field have had their moments too. Close by is Tawsmead Copse, an area of woodland with a reputation for peculiar goings on. It’s in the field directly adjacent to the woods that this crisp, somewhat psychedelic formation has appeared. It possesses undertones of early 1990s style pictograms both in shape and use of the tramlines for its structure.

The Croppie likes the circle but farmer Josh Carson is not so happy. He has said he will allow the circle to remain until the harvest — within the next week or so — provided any potential visitors do not enter the field.
