   Where is this exactly? I drove around Hackpen Hil for a bit – by the Ridgeway – but couldn’t find it!

     I haven’t visited but apparently it can be found on Google Maps by entering: 51°28’52.6″N 1°48’55.3″W

   I’ve been following these things since 1992 and I can say that my very favourite place to camp out under the stars is just up the ridgeway in the copse up a ways from the hackpen hill parking spot. Many is he time I’ve been observing the sunset when Mr Paul Jacobs was kind enough to share some garlic bread or the like with me outside his Citroen. He’s always been very generous that way towards me. I miss him when he’s not there. He has a very different idea about the origin of this circle. I have to respect his wisdom.
